Gangnam Style First Video to Hit 1 Billion Views on You Tube

A million views? You know what's cool? A billion views.

Today, a 34-year-old K-Pop artist made online video history when his viral video, Gangnam Style, smashed our records and became the first video ever to reach one billion views. Yup, that’s right one BILLION views!

PSY's success is a great testament to the universal appeal of catchy music-- and er, great equine dance moves. In the past, music distribution was mostly regional. It was more difficult to learn about great artists from around the world. But with a global platform at their fingertips, people are now discovering and sharing amazing music from all over the planet, by artists like Brazilian Michel Teló and Belgian-Australian Gotye.

One billion views is an incredible number, but the PSY-nomenon goes beyond that. Check out these stats:

  • PSY was already big in Korea, but in 2012, he became a global celeb as Gangnam Style quickly spread from Seoul and the pacific to North America, South America, and Europe. It’s been seen at least 1 million times in close to 75 countries, making it one of the most global music sensations ever!
  • From a one-thousand person flash mob in Jakarta to cover videos from Ai Weiwei and Mitt Romney, hundreds of thousands of parodies have been uploaded to YouTube, some of which have tens of millions of views. In fact, fan tributes to Gangnam Style are now being viewed 20 million times every single day.
  • PSY's own remix with Hyuna has 200 million views alone.
  • "Gangnam Style" was YouTube's top rising search of 2012 and on October 6th, we saw more than five million searches for “gangnam style” in a single day. Check out this video demonstrating some of our most popular YouTube searches this year.
  • For those interested in the business side: a number of assessments and projections have been posted claiming “Gangnam Style” has generated over $8.1 million in advertising deals, hit more than 2.9 million in song downloads since July, and achieved other incredible feats!
  • Since late last month, people have clicked to buy the track on iTunes over 600,000 times helping make PSY the first Korean artist ever to rank #1 on the U.S. iTunes chart and #1 in over 30 more countries
Perhaps what’s most impressive about this feat is that it took just over five months to happen. To give this milestone some context, here’s a chart of Gangnam Style’s rise to popularity versus Justin Bieber’s “Baby,” the video that previously held the most-watched video title:

Congratulations to PSY, the flash mobbers, K-Pop fans and people who love fun across the globe. Considering the Gangnam Style dance was the number one dance-related search on YouTube this year, you better make sure you brush up on your moves before New Year's Eve.

The kind of amazing creativity and unique connection between people all over the world that resulted in this one billion views is only possible with an incredible community of people we're so lucky to have on YouTube. And we can't wait to see what you'll come up with next!

Anonymous Rekrut pakar komputer perangi laman web pro-Israel

Following eight days of intense shelling that left over 150 people killed, a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas has come into effect. The truce was announced by Egypt's foreign minister and confirmed by both Israeli and Palestinian officials.

The truce announcement was made by Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Amr during a joint press conference with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

“These efforts and contacts have yielded an understanding about a truce and restoration of calm, and the halting of the bloodshed that we have witnessed during the recent period,” Amr said.

"A short while ago Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with [US] President Barack Obama and agreed to his recommendation to give a chance to an Egyptian proposal for a ceasefire and thereby give an opportunity for the stabilization of the situation and a calming of it," the Netanyahu office's statement reads.

The deal stipulates that Israel “stop all hostilities in the Gaza Strip – land sea and air, including incursions and targeting of individuals,” while “all Palestinian factions shall stop all hostilities from the Gaza Strip against Israel, including rocket attacks and all attacks along the border.”

The document also says that crossings should be opened to facilitate the movement of people and goods, and that residents’ free movements should not be restricted, while targeting residents in border areas should be.

According to the deal, the exact details of implementation will be decided 24 hours from the start of the ceasefire.

The announcement comes after Clinton and UN chief Ban Ki-Moon traveled to Cairo on Wednesday to push for a ceasefire as the conflict entered its eighth day.

The UN Secretary-General met with Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi. Clinton met with Morsi as well, and later with Amr.

"Ultimately every step must move us towards a comprehensive peace for the people of the region," Clinton said after the ceasefire was announced.

Later, during a special press conference devoted to the ceasefire, Netanyahu expressed gratitude to Clinton, Obama and Egypt for their, cooperation saying Israel “put in a lot of military power together with diplomatic.”

Objectives accomplished?

Israel Defense Minister Ehud Barak said that all his government's military goals in Gaza were "achieved" as the ceasefire agreement came into effect. The IDF issued a statement saying that it accomplished its “pre-determined objectives” for the eight-days-long Operation Pillar of Defense, inflicting severe damage to Hamas and its military capabilities.

Meanwhile, Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal declared the ceasefire agreement to be a major victory for Palestine, adding that while Israel claims to have reached its goals, it “failed to destroy Gaza’s infrastructure.”

“After eight days, God stayed their hand from the people of Gaza, and they were compelled to submit to the conditions of the resistance,” Meshaal said. ”Israel has failed in all its goals.”
Meshaal also thanked ceasefire mediator Egypt for its efforts in reaching the truce agreement, as well as Iran, which he said played a significant role in arming Hamas during the conflict. He added that Israel initiated the conflict and that Hamas was forced to respond. He urged Arab countries to provide armed assistance to the "Palestinian resistance."

Over the week of Israel's offensive, some 160 people were killed and 941 wounded in Gaza, according to the Palestinian Center for Human Rights. Almost 100 of those killed were civilians, including 28 children, 13 women and several journalists. Almost every wounded person was a civilian as well.

On the Israeli side, five people were killed and 240 injured according to the IDF, which counted over 1,500 rockets fired from Gaza during the conflict. Only 421 of those rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome.

The Israeli military announced that it hit over 1,500 "terror sites" and killed 30 senior operatives during the operation. “I would say that most of the people that were hit in Gaza deserved it, as they were just armed terrorists,” Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon told Public Radio International, despite the large majority of Palestinians killed being unarmed civilians.

Long-lasting truce?

Rumors about an imminent truce circulated in the media for a while prior to its official announcement and confirmation by both sides.

Arab diplomats were active in the negotiation process. An Arab League delegation arrived in Gaza on Tuesday to support the Palestinian people, while last week Egypt's Prime Minister Hesham Kandil traveled to Gaza with a support mission.

On Tuesday, Hamas official Ayman Taha announced that an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire was to be declared in Gaza at 19:00 GMT and would go into effect at 22:00 GMT the same night. Shortly after the announcement, Israel said a ceasefire deal was yet to be finalized.

Also on Tuesday, Morsi expressed certainty that Gaza and Israel would shortly reach a ceasefire, but did not elaborate on the matter.

But despite the truce, Israeli officials claim that over a dozen rockets have been fired at Israel from Gaza since the ceasefire came into effect.

The ceasefire between Hamas and Israel is unlikely to last long as Tel Aviv maintains its siege of Gaza, anti-war activist Don DeBar told RT.

“Unless the people of Gaza are allowed food and medicine and material to rebuild their blown-up country, then there is no justice until that happens and probably no peace,” he said, adding that for a lasting peace, Gazans' living conditions must be let to improve beyond the bare minimum for survival.

As Hamas continues to launch strikes on Israel, the government of the Jewish state said it’s ready to expand the operation against Gaza. Meantime, the ongoing global protests against Israel see thousands taking to the streets around the world.
About a thousand of Indonesian students demonstrated in Jakarta, carrying Palestinian flags, as well as photos of destruction and casualties, and shouting “Save Gaza, save humanity” outside the US embassy. “America is a country that has always championed human rights but why is it not doing anything to stop Israel’s attacks? Israel is the real terrorist,” protest coordinator Yousef Saiful Gunawan told AFP.

Around a thousand of Chileans also took to the streets of the country’s capital to protest against the ongoing violence. The demonstrators carried banners with photos of the conflict’s victims. There are about 350,000 Chileans of Palestinian descent living in Chile, making it one of the largest such communities outside of the Arab world.

Crowds also gathered in the Netherlands’ capital Amsterdam to protest the Gaza assault. The demonstrators were holding posters which read, "No Dutch support for apartheid in Palestine. Boycott Israel."

In London, thousands also rallied in support of the Palestinian people outside the Israeli embassy, condemning the British government’s stance on the issue. Sarah Colborne, director of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, said protesters aimed to demonstrate they were "vehemently opposed" to the Foreign Office's position. The crowds waved Palestinian flags, sang "Gaza we will never let you die", branding Israel a “terror state.” There was a significant police presence in the area of the protest, with the road leading to the Israeli embassy blocked by barriers and a gate.

In Israel itself, hundreds also protested against the Operation Pillar of Defense, calling on the government to reach an immediate ceasefire with Hamas in Gaza. The demonstrators named the military operation an “election campaign” for Netanyahu, chanting slogans against the “occupation.”

Nine rockets were launched from Gaza on Sunday, with three of them hitting Israel and another four intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome defense system. Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the Jewish state is ready to “significantly expand” Gaza operation. As of now, at least 52 Palestinians, including 11 children, and three Israelis died in the conflict.

Anonymous - #Operation Israel

Published on Nov 16, 2012 by
Greetings World.

For far too long, Anonymous has stood by with the rest of the world and watched in despair the barbaric, brutal and despicable treatment of the Palestinian people in the so called "Occupied Territories" by the Israel Defense Force. Like so many around the globe, we have felt helpless in the face of such implacable evil. And today's insane attack and threatened invasion of Gaza was more of the same.

But when the government of Israel publicly threatened to sever all Internet and other telecommunications into and out of Gaza they crossed a line in the sand. As the former dictator of Egypt Mubarack learned the hard way - we are ANONYMOUS and NO ONE shuts down the Internet on our watch. To the IDF and government of Israel we issue you this warning only once. Do NOT shut down the Internet into the "Occupied Territories", and cease and desist from your terror upon the innocent people of Palestine or you will know the full and unbridled wrath of Anonymous. And like all the other evil governments that have faced our rage, you will NOT survive it unscathed.

To the people of Gaza and the "Occupied Territories", know that Anonymous stands with you in this fight. We will do everything in our power to hinder the evil forces of the IDF arrayed against you. We will use all our resources to make certain you stay connected to the Internet and remain able to transmit your experiences to the world. As a start, we have put together the Anonymous Gaza Care Package - http://bit.ly/XH87C5 - which contains instructions in Arabic and English that can aid you in the event the Israel government makes good on it's threat to attempt to sever your Internet connection. It also contains useful information on evading IDF surveillance, and some basic first aid and other useful information. We will continue to expand and improve this document in the coming days, and we will transmit it to you by every means at our disposal. We encourage you to download this package, and to share it with your fellow Palestinians to the best of your ability.

We will be with you. No matter how dark it may seem, no matter how alone and abandoned you may feel - know that tens of thousands of us in Anonymous are with you and working tirelessly around the clock to bring you every aid and assistance that we can.

We Are Anonymous
We Are Everywhere
We Are Legion
We Do Not Forgive
We Do Not Forget
To the oppressors of the innocent Palestinian people, it is too late to EXPECT US

Learn Some Awesome Photography Techniques and Take Amazing Images

Re-Post from http://lifehacker.com
By Adam Dachis
You're only scratching the surface of photography when you're simply snapping photos. This weekend, learn to paint with light, create amazing star trails, and alter space and time as we know it.
Note: For those of you with Canon point-and-shoot cameras, consider installing CHDK to add extra features. Doing so will allow you to accomplish the techniques described in this post much more easily. DSLR owners, on the other hand, are good to go, but some can still add a few awesome features with Magic Lantern.

Play With Time

Time-lapse photography offers some pretty amazing opportunities. For starters, star trails—achieved by a long exposure of the night sky—make for beautiful images every time. For the most part, it simply takes patience. (Check out this guide for full instructions.)
Of course, you can do plenty more by playing with time. Long exposures create all sorts of effects beyond capturing the stars in a unique light. You can experiment with longer exposures when moving the camera or keeping it still. If you're capturing images when there's plenty of light, be sure to lower your ISO/film speed and stop down your lens' aperture to a higher f-stop (e.g. f/22). This will allow less light to hit the sensor so a longer exposure won't overexposure your photo as quickly.
You don't have to stop at photos, either. Time lapse videos—the process of taking a photo at set intervals and combining them all into one motion sequence—are extremely compelling. While we haven't tackled the subject in-depth, Photojojo created a great guide. All you really need is an intervalometer, your camera, and some time, but getting everything set up just right takes a little work. Canon camera owners can use custom firmware CHDK or Magic Lantern to make the creation of these time lapse videos even easier.

Paint With Light

Lightpainting is similar to time lapse photography, in that it utilizes long exposures to create special effects with light. That said, lightpainting involves you creating the special light patterns with glow sticks, flashlights, or any other source. As you can see with the picture to the right, these man-made effects can be pretty stunning. To learn more, read this post. It contains a helpful video that explains the entire process. If your camera can handle long exposures, you can go out and do this any night with a friend. It's really fun!

 Make Your Own Bokeh

Bokeh—the out-of-focus area of your photos—generally looks like a bunch of basic shapes. Some lenses offer nice smooth circles while others create harsher, angled shapes. If you create your own bokeh, you can make any shape you want (like the hearts in the images to the right). Just take some paper, cut out a shape, and strap it to your lens. With that simple trick, you'll make some really cool, out-of-focus images.

Transplant Your Subjects

Sometimes you've got a great location and a great subject, but they're not in the same place. With photo editing software, that's no problem. All you need to do is shoot your subject on a green screen and transplant them anywhere you like. Building your own green screen is actually really cheap and easy. (I made one several years ago over the weekend and made a lot of fun things with it.) If that's too much work, your computer monitor (or any screen, really), can do the trick for smaller objects.

Create 3D Images

I'm not a big fan of 3D. That said, the gimmick can be fun when you're making your own images and don't need any special equipment to view them. While imperfect, this easy trick can offer the illusion of a 3D photograph by simply alternating between two frames at a high speed. It's no amazing feat, but it's a pretty cool trick that anybody can see.

Create a Photosynth

Learn Some Awesome Photography Techniques and Take Amazing Images This Weekend

What is a photosynth? It's like a panoramic photo, but in all directions. Microsoft created the concept and software to help you make them. Essentially, you take your camera and go somewhere, then snap tons of pictures in every direction. After that, all you really have to do is upload them with Microsoft's photosynth tool and you can navigate through 3D-like space. It's a neat way to experience a place that offers more depth than a traditional still image. For a full walkthrough on how to do this (with video!), check out our guide.

1 Juta ID Peranti Apple bocor, Sejumlah 12 Juta Dicuri || 1 Million Apple Device IDs Leaked, 12 Million Total Stolen

1 Million Apple Device IDs Leaked, 12 Million Total Stolen

One million Apple UDIDs (Universal Device IDs) were released to the public today, along with Notification Center tokens, device names, and device IDs, and while none of the data is personal information, it can potentially be tied back to device owners, names, and addresses.

According to Antisec, the group that released the data, the one million is just part of over 12 million UDIDs they obtained from an FBI-owned laptop compromised in March 2012. The total dump reportedly also contains names, addresses, cellphone numbers, and other information about the device owners.

Photo from Lifehacker.com

Unfortunately, if you own an Apple device, there's nothing you can really do at this point. You can't just change your UDID the way you can change a password. There are a sites that let you search the 1 million dump to see if your UDID is in the list, but the only surefire method is to download the file yourself from Pastebin and check. Also, even if your device isn't in the list, it could be in the other 11 million.
It's unclear what if anything Apple (or the FBI for that matter) will say or do about the leak, or what a malicious party could do with the information, but for now it's a good reminder to keep your computers secure and malware free.

Facebook updated for Android and iOS

 Photo from http://mobilesyrup.com

Facebook for iOS and Android have been updated with some big new features. First, the Android app has added batch photo uploads (finally!) that brings it to feature parity with the iPhone app (though on Apple’s platform it’s a separate app). This allows users to upload multiple photos to the social network without having to tag or caption each one individually.
Users of the Android app can now create events on the handset itself, which has been a long-requested feature. You can also add photos and emoji to private messages between friends.
The iOS app has also been redone, launching much quicker and performing “twice as fast” according to Facebook. Photos load “instantly” and scrolling through the app is much, much smoother. We’ve been really impressed with the performance and stability on Facebook 5.0 for iOS. Updating in real time, the news feed will tell you when there’s a new entry with a little banner at the top of the screen.
Both apps perform much better than previous versions, and Facebook has done a great job ensuring that its 500+ million mobile users are not disappointed with the end results.

‘Friends’ can share your Facebook profile with the government, court rules

‘Friends’ can share your Facebook profile with the government, court rules

A federal judge has ruled that investigators can go through your Facebook profile if one of your friends gives them permission to do so. The decision, which is part of a New York City racketeering trial, comes as courts struggle to define privacy and civil liberties in the age of social media.
In an order issued on Friday, US District Judge William Pauley III ruled that accused gangster Melvin Colon can’t rely on the Fourth Amendment to suppress Facebook evidence that led to his indictment. Colon had argued that federal investigators violated his privacy by tapping into his profile through an informant who was one of this Facebook friends.
The informant’s Facebook friendship served to open an online window onto Colon’s alleged gangster life, revealing messages he posted about violent acts and threats to rival gang members. The government used this information to obtain a search warrant for the rest of Colon’s Facebook account. The Colon information is part of a larger investigation into crack-dealing and murder in the Bronx.
Judge Pauley III’s ruling is significant because it is the latest in a series of cases that defines how and when police can search social media.
In the Bronx case, the judge found that Colon couldn’t stop his Facebook friends doing what they liked with the information he revealed:
Colon’s legitimate expectation of privacy ended when he disseminated posts to his “friends” because those “friends” were free to use the information however they wanted-including sharing it with the Government.
To support this position, Judge Pauley III cited a case that confirmed the government can listen in on phone calls without a warrant provided that one of the people on the call gives it permission to do so.
Ironically, Colon’s current account suggests that the government’s ability to peruse Facebook profiles may have become even easier since the introduction of the Facebook Timeline. The feature can in some cases reveal past events and status updates to the public unless a user changes his or her privacy settings.
What appears to be Colon’s account (cited in the court case as “Mellymella Balla” in the Bronx) can now be seen by the public. Here is a screenshot from his profile:

The case may also raise the question of whether social media companies are providing an adequate explanation of their privacy settings to all Americans. You can read the ruling itself here:

'Flame' Attack Iran, Israel and other Middle Eastern countries!!!

Published on May 29, 2012 by RussiaToday A powerful data-snatching virus targeting computers in Iran, Israel and other Middle Eastern countries has been discovered by Russian experts. The worm has been used for years for what seems to be state-sponsored cyber espionage.

ABU DHABI: A sophisticated cyber weapon has been discovered on computers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, prompting security concerns for energy firms based in the Gulf and industrial plants.

The virus, dubbed “Flame”, is capable of spying on various different computer files, notably those created by industrial engineers.

Flame has largely targeted computer users in Iran in what some experts have suggested is a deliberate attack on the country’s nuclear programme.

But a handful of computers in the Gulf region have also been infected by the virus, or “malware”, according to the Kaspersky Lab, the anti-virus firm based in Moscow that discovered Flame.

“The malware is designed to act like a cyber-espionage kit,” said Stefan Tanase, senior security researcher at Kaspersky. “It’s a tool for spying on users actions.”

Tanase said the Flame virus had been detected on 11 computers in Saudi Arabia, two in both the UAE and Qatar, and one in Bahrain.

While those numbers are small, the cases are significant because fewer than 500 computers worldwide are thought to have been infected with Flame.

The largest rates of infection are in Iran, where the virus has been identified on 189 computers, and the Palestinian Territories, where Kaspersky has detected 98 cases, Tanase said.

Flame can spy on common computer files such as Word documents and those typically used by industrial engineers, said Tanase.

“The attackers can choose which files they want to download,” he said.

Flame has a “very specific interest” in AutoCAD files, which can be used by engineers for industrial projects. Potential targets “could be anything from a power plant to a production facility ... to oil platforms”, Tanase said.

This could mean those controlling the Flame virus could be spying on classified files owned by Middle East energy companies. “If I was working in this industry I would be worried,” said Tanase.

The executive advised such users to scan for Flame infection using anti-virus software. However, he said regular consumers should not be alarmed by the virus because it does not specifically target them. Flame is the latest cyber attack on computer users based in the Middle East.

Two previous viruses, known as Stuxnet and Duqu, are said by some observers to have specifically targeted Iran.

A recent report in The New York Times suggested the United States and Israel were behind the development of the Stuxnet virus, which was designed to cripple Iran’s ability to develop nuclear weapons.

Whoever created the Flame virus made efforts to conceal their identity, said Tanase. “The attackers did a pretty good job of hiding their tracks.”

Flame uses a different coding platform to Stuxnet and Duqu, suggesting it was created by a different team. But Tanase said Flame could be “a parallel project” because all three viruses targeted this region.

“Their aim is clearly the same to do cyber-espionage and cyber-sabotage in the Middle Eastern region,” he said.

Kaspersky has already helped shut down 80 of the computer servers controlling Flame, Tanase said. But other variants of the Flame virus are still out there, he warned.

‘Flame’ virus discovered as new cyber weapon
Ibrahim Husseini, Press TV, Tel Aviv

"Moshe Ya'alon says anyone who sees Iran's nuclear program as a threat will take steps to harm it.
Evidence of the malware was found in Iran, Sudan, Syria, Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories."

Shortly after news of a sophisticated malware dubbed “flame” hit Iran's servers, an emergency response unit at Iran's telecommunications ministry announced that it had come up with an anti-virus program against it.

On Monday, Netanyahu's deputy hinted at an Israeli involvement but was short of assuming responsibility.

One industry expert called the flame malware a masterpiece of programming, sophisticated enough to change its characteristics and develop according to orders. Therefore It is hard to detect because it only acts on an order from a remote computer and is not always active.

Only 15 powers are thought to possess this technology. The US and Israel are among them.

In recent months, the pressure on Iran was stepped up.

Iran has maintained that its nuclear program is strictly civilian. Israel is on the other hand, is not a signatory to treaty on the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and is thought to possess 200 to 300 nuclear warheads.

The flame virus is the latest known attack in the ongoing cyber warfare by Israel and the West against Iran. Analysts say cyber warfare is one of the three options at the disposal of Israel and West. The other two: a military strike; a dangerous and unlikely option at the moment, or simply allowing negotiations to produce a settlement.
